Sledding is simply a must-do winter activity in Maria Alm am Hochkönig. The Jufenalm’s hotel-owned sledding run stretches about 2.5 kilometers from the hotel down to the valley. The sledding run in Maria Alm winds through snow-covered meadows and forests and is just as beautiful during the day as it is in the evening along the illuminated route—peaceful, wintry, and full of atmosphere.

Due to limited seating, reservations are required for the shuttle. Please send your request in advance to info@jufenalm.at. As a hotel guest, you can easily book the shuttle at the front desk.

Sleds can be rented on-site at any time—no reservation is required. However, for groups of 15 or more, we ask that you send a brief advance notice via email to info@jufenalm.at so that we can ensure we have enough sleds available for you.

After your run, we’ll take you back to the Jufenalm on a snowmobile or sled tractor if you’d like. In the afternoon, rides are available between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM upon request. In the evening, the sled tractor runs at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM, except on Mondays and Wednesdays. A telephone reservation is required.

Sleds can be rented directly at the service desk. Tickets are available daily from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The price is €12 per sled for one to two people. Hotel guests can sled for free.

Our hotel’s own toboggan run in Maria Alm starts right at the Jufenalm and ends down in the valley. The 2.5-kilometer-long run is perfect for families, couples, and anyone who wants to enjoy the winter outdoors. Tobogganing in the evening, when the run is lit up, is especially popular.
