Roaring whitewater, fast currents, unexpected eddies and waves, rocks that suddenly appear, and even waterfalls: Rafting is a sport that powerfully demonstrates the unbridled force of nature. On par with Kitzbühel, St. Moritz, or Ischgl. Zell am See has made a name for itself as a summer and winter sports destination since the 1960s. Today, nearly 10,000 people live in the small town of Zell am See, situated 758 meters above sea level. A true “climatic health resort,” as they used to say. But that does the mountain town a disservice. With its shopping mile in the historic old town, the Viennese coffeehouse flair of the Austro-Hungarian era, and the casino, it presents itself as both sophisticated and youthful. Every corner is fascinating. You can find more information in our QR code under “Zell am See.”
